Primary Care Physician

Suffield Medical Associates is looking for a part-time (2-3 days per week) or full-time (4 days per week) Primary Care Physician due to practice expansion and to replace a part-time retiring physician who has been with the practice for nearly 40 years. We are looking for someone who is settled in or plans to settle and stay in the area long-term. The physician must be board-certified or board-eligible in internal medicine or family medicine. New residency graduates or experienced physicians are welcome to apply. This is a great opportunity for a primary care physician who will start with an existing panel and be able to grow and add patients over time. For new graduates, our seasoned colleagues are happy to provide mentorship. 
We are a full-spectrum independent primary care practice, seeing teenagers through elderly patients. We also have a medical walk-in facility where we see all ages for urgent medical care and have on-site Xray, phlebotomy and lab. We are open 7 days per week, but currently have full-weekend coverage and so schedule would be only weekdays. We have been open for over 40 years and pride ourselves on excellent patient care and a small town feel without the headaches of corporate medicine. Candidate must be willing to work as part of a team with other physicians, PAs, and APRNs. 
Once up to speed, providers usually see 18-24 patients per day on average, and are on call 1 day per week. Call is only by phone and never involves coming into the office. Typically, providers only respond to 1-2 calls per evening by phone. We schedule adequate time for our physicals, our follow up visits, and our urgent visits such that we can provide comprehensive care. You can set your appointment times and daily schedule as you see fit.

There is potential for future partnership in the practice if desired. 
Suffield is a suburb of Hartford and Springfield, with a population of around 16,000. The town of Suffield is a beautiful rural/suburban community. It is known to be very safe and has excellent schools. It is an ideal place to raise children. Residents enjoy a walkable downtown with bustling shops, inviting restaurants, and events that bring people together. It is a short 90-minute drive to Boston and 2-hour drive to New York City. It is conveniently located 10 minutes from Bradley International Airport.

Medical Assistant

Suffield Medical Associates is looking for part or full-time Medical Assistants. General duties include rooming patients, taking vital signs and history, and medical record documentation such as ordering labs for providers. Medical assistants also administer in office testing such as covid testing, flu testing, and strep testing. Additionally, they perform EKGs and assist with in office procedures.
